Job Description for Windchill Administrator

Position: Windchill Administrator

Experience Range: 1 to 3

Role Profile:  Assist business units with maintenance, modification and

troubleshooting of access control rules, user groups and

roles.

  • Business Administration, System Administration.
  • Assist project teams, business teams to verify the

configurations/customization in dev/QA/prod env. during

development/UAT/Prod deployment phases to verify the

end to end solution.

  • PTC CREO and Windchill training to users & data

management with work group manager.

  • CAD data Integration and legacy data migration to

Windchill.

  • CAD Worker Configuration.
  • CAD Data Migration from CAD Server to newly configure

unified CAD Server.

  • PTC CREO license management.
  • PTC Creo version upgrade.
  • Runtime issues like circular references, family table

issues, WT Part and EPM Document linking etc.

  • Illustration Preparation using Creo Illustrate & data

Management with Work group manager.

 

Skills required: Windchill system administration activities like

Installation, Rehosting, Managing vaults, Queues, CAD

 

Document Management, Data Migration, Server Re-

hosting, Update, Upgrade.

  • Windchill business administration activities like managing

participant administration, OIR, change management.

  • Understanding with database (Oracle/SQL), Windchill

PLM Solution, Windchill SLM Solution, hardware

assessment.

  • Debugging workflow related and change management

issues.

  • Experience in configuration and light weight

customizations.

  • Exposure to Java and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink, PartsLink, Integrity,

ProjectLink, MPMLink, CAD Software like Creo, AutoCAD,

UG would be an added advantage.

 

Educational Qualification: BE (Mechanical/Computer/IT/Electronics/ENTC/Electrical)
